I'm pleased to announce the inauguration of a blog about vehicle navigation database platforms based on my 16 years of experience developing databases for vehicle navigation and similar purposes. These are the database components in GPS systems that help drivers decide where they are going and guide them there. These databases can also be used for analysis of the road network.
These database components are buried deep inside the vehicle navigation systems, so this blog will be technical, but I will make sure that each blog post will contain something meaningful to a variety of folks in the industry, not only to software engineers.
